I will help everyone, from the beginner learning how to hold the instrument properly to the most advanced level violinist and violist as they navigate their own professional career.
The Beginning Student
Feeling comfortable holding the instrument, learning to read music and understand rhythms, learning and maintaing a proper bow hold..most importantly: Having Fun learning an instrument!
The Intermediate String Student
You can read music and know the positions but you are looking for more expression. We will learn to phrase the music, give it a living shape through vibrato development, understanding the "bow" and how the music comes from breathing and expressing through the bow, regular performances with accompaniment, and most importantly how to practice effectively and efficiently for your week lessons, Regional and All-state auditions!

The Advanced Pre College Student
You've been playing the violin or viola for years and you think you might want to go into music as a career! You have hit a wall in your learning process and you are looking for a teacher who has recorded the repertoire for major CD labels with orchestras around the world. A teacher who has taught at the college level and at major international festivals. A teacher who can delve into the challenges of performance anxiety, and can help you successfully audition for college or music school or a summer festival. I have judged major competitions, been a jury member for major symphony auditions as well as festivals from around the world. I know what is needed to be successful.

The Professional Player or Ensemble
You have graduated and are working but now what? You want to keep growing as an artist. You want to start your own concert series but dont know how to do it. You want to audition for a better orchestra job or you want to create more interesting performance programs. Your string quartet has dreams but dont know how to make it a reality.
I have been in major orchestras in the section and as principal. I have been a member of two professional string quartets with major management in addition to been the founder of a piano trio, harp trio and guitar duo. I have run my own concert series for 8 years and understand what is involved in artistic and administrative skills to communicate with audiences and develop my product.
